Countdown Begins For St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship

The countdown begins for the much-anticipated St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship where glitz, glamour and excitement takes center stage at one of the world's top snow polo tournaments and only snow polo event in the U.S.

In front of an expected sellout crowd and worldwide ChukkerTV audience, action gets underway Friday, Dec. 15 with qualifying games at Aspen Valley Polo Club and continues Saturday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 17 at Rio Grande Park.

For the fifth consecutive year, Aspen Valley Polo Club owners Melissa and Marc Ganzi, named to The Salonniere 100 annual list of the nation's best party hosts in Aspen for 2017, will host the star-studded event along with polo ambassador and St. Regis Connoisseur Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina.

Aspen Valley Polo Club Three-Peats Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships In Front Of Record Crowd; Melissa Ganzi Named MVP 

Aspen Valley Polo Club made history winning its third consecutive title at the recent seventh Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships at WestWorld's Wells Fargo Private Bank Field.

No team has won the coveted Molina Cup three times until the team of Melissa Ganzi, Mike Azzaro and Ashley Busch defeated Bentley Scottsdale Monte Carlo Polo Team (Rommy Gianni, Tito Gaudenzi, Juancito Bollini), 11-8, on Saturday. Monte Carlo was making its Scottsdale debut.

Aspen Valley Polo Club Looking To Three-Peat At Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships This Weekend 

Two-time defending champion Aspen Valley Polo Club heads the four-team field for the seventh annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships: Horses & Horsepower Saturday and Sunday at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

In the nation's largest polo event last year, Melissa Ganzi, Nic Roldan and Juancito Bollini defended its title with a 7-5 victory over Palm Beach Polo. Two years ago, Roldan, Ganzi and Juan Bollini knocked off two-time reigning champion Clogau Wales, 9-5.

Aspen Valley Polo Club returns with Ganzi, Hall of Famer and former 10-goaler Mike Azzaro and Ashley Busch, brand ambassador for U.S. Polo Assn. and wife of NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, who will throw in the ball for Saturday's match.

Aspen Valley Polo Club Announces 2017 Summer Schedule, Player Lineup Led By Mike Azzaro

Aspen Valley Polo Club, the fastest growing club in the nation, announced its 12-tournament schedule and player lineup for the upcoming summer season.

The 2017 season features last year’s eight grass tournaments and four arena tournaments including the July 25-Aug. 6 USPA National Arena Handicap.

Flexjet Wins First World Snow Polo Championship Title; Jesse Bray Named MVP

Flexjet knocked off defending champion U.S. Polo Assn. to capture the World Snow Polo Championship for the first time Sunday at Rio Grande Park.

In front of an overflow crowd including a sold out VIP tent and worldwide ChukkerTV audience, Flexjet, led by two first-time snow polo players, defeated U.S. Polo Assn., 7-4, to win the coveted trophy.

Flexjet avenged last year’s 10-5 finals loss bydominating the four-chukker game with Melissa Ganzi and first-timers Jason Crowder and Jesse Bray. It was also the first time the California players and long time friends competed on the same team.

U.S. Polo Assn. Will Defend Title Against Flexjet Sunday In World Snow Polo Championship Final

Defending champion U.S. Polo Assn., making its third finals appearance in four years, will meet Flexjet Sunday in the World Snow Polo Championship at Rio Grande Park.

The game will be televised by ChukkerTV at 1 p.m. MST (3 p.m. EST) to a worldwide audience. The consolation game featuring Audi and St. Regis will follow at 2:30 p.m.

An overnight snow storm dumped two additional feet of snow in the arena forcing tournament officials to change the opening qualifying format from two full games to two shootouts.

Aspen Valley Polo Club won its’ second consecutive title at the sixth annual Bentley Scottsdale Polo Championships Saturday at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

The team of Melissa Ganzi, Nic Roldan and Juancito Bollini won the coveted Molina Cup with a hardfought 7-5 victory over Palm Beach Polo, making its debut in the six-team event.

In the featured 3-on-3 polo match, the defending champions were led by Ganzi, who scored a game-high four goals. Ganzi and Roldan were members of last year’s winning team.

In a wild finish, White Birch knocked off defending champion Audi, 12-11, in overtime Sunday to capture the USPA East Coast Open.

In front of a sellout crowd of 4,000 at windswept Greenwich Polo Club and worldwide ChukkerTV audience, 15-year-old Santino Magrini scored the winning goal to complete a remarkable second-half comeback by White Birch.

With a “that’s more like it attitude,” defending champion Audi remained undefeated in the USPA East Coast Open Wednesday at Greenwich Polo Club.

The foursome of Marc Ganzi, Leo Mandelbaum, Nic Roldan and Sebastian Merlos played textbook polo to defeat Tupungato, 13-7, in front of a worldwide ChukkerTV audience.

After escaping with an 11-10 win over Airstreamon Sunday, Audi took charge early and dominated Tupungato in the first half with a strong offensive attack, building an 8-1 lead after three chukkers.

In a hotly-contested USPA East Coast Open game, Audi began its’ title defense with a thrilling 11-10 victory over Airstream Sunday at Greenwich Polo Club.

In front of a worldwide ChukkerTV audience, Audi’s new-look lineup of Marc Ganzi, Leo Mandelbaum, Nic Roldan and Sebastian Merlos was pushed to the limit in the team’s opening bracket game of the eight-team tournament.

Aspen Valley Polo Club winds down its’ most successful summer polo season in club history this weekend with the season-ender Carbondale Classic.

The three-day tournament begins Friday with a round robin game at High Mesa Ranch at 3 p.m. MST.

The final is Sunday at 11 a.m. MST along with the popular Grooms’ Race.
